When Bob Rummery suggested he was going to finish the club,I decided to take over the running with the backing of the Western Australian Folk Federation,and Jamie McKinnon and Bill Hale.We encourage floor singers and have one main act a month.
Every month has been a great success.

After a few requests I will be appearing in November.as the main act.I found it a bit uncomfortable to play at the club I organised as I feel that others should have the opportuniy first. But a few people have asked when I will be playing so here I go!
Also on the bill Cat among the Pigeons will be doing an extended set to celebrate the launch of their first CD,Songs from the Verandah.

Friday 9 May. Wanneroo Folk Club (at Warwick). We are pleased to present Ken Nichol for one of only two WA Gigs.Ken  is a gui­tarist, singer, song­writer and pro­ducer from Pre­ston in Eng­land. His music cov­ers the spec­trum from blues to rock, and effort­lessly takes in folk, jazz, rag­time, bal­lads and more along the way.  Ken was a mem­ber of the leg­endary Albion Band from 1997 until Sep­tem­ber 2001 when he left in order to spend more time on other projects. In Decem­ber 2002, he suc­cess­fully joined forces with Steel­eye Span, work­ing with the band for eight years, most recently on their 2009 40th Anniver­sary Tour, vis­it­ing the USA and Aus­tralia. Dur­ing his time with Steel­eye he recorded four albums with the band: ‘They Called Her Baby­lon’, ‘Win­ter’, ‘Bloody Men’ and ‘Cogs, Wheels and Lovers’. Ken left the band in 2010.
