I have been a Musician for over 30 years and a GuitarTeacher for 18 years. During this time I have diversified through genres; From playing drums and guitar in Rock & Country bands, to singing and playing a variety of instruments in upbeat Irish & British folk music (bands and solo) also performing classical guitar with the Western Australian Classical Society Orchestra to name a few.
I have played a variety of venues around Australia and the UK including various pubs, clubs, concert halls and also Folk festivals such as Cambridge, Ely, Illawarra and Fairbridge.
In 2011 I played and taught at the Illawarra folk festival, and have Co ordinated songwriting workshops for the West Australian Folk Federation (WAFF). A typical Folk gig may see songs of Social Comment, Comedy Songs, Chorus Songs, Love songs and Celtic tunes, Jigs and Reels. Many years of playing contemporary music in Pubs and clubs have made me versatile and aware of audience and patrons needs. For a more General audience I play Standards from the 1940's to present covering genres such as Country, Pop and Rock, as well as classical and contemporary guitar instrumentals. I play in the WA Classical Guitar Society Orchestra and in 2010 was conductor and musical director.
